Save Kimber Park endorses Vinnie Bacon and John Dutra for City Council

On 9/18/2012, the Save Kimber Park group endorsed City Council candidates Vinnie Bacon and John Dutra.   We have appreciated their long-term support of the open space issues in the Kimber community, as well as throughout all of Fremont.

John Dutra endorses Save Kimber Park effort and Mission Statement

John Dutra, Economic Advisory Commissioner for the City of Fremont, endorses the Save Kimber Park efforts and supports the Mission Statement that "We are a community committed to forever preserving a park-like natural and open area including a recreational facility in the Kimber Park Neighborhood."  
 
John is also President and CEO of Dutra Enterprises, Inc., a family-owned company based in Fremont for the past 40 years.  Mr. Dutra is active in the Fremont community through Church and Rotary and has also recently announced his candidacy for Fremont City Council in the 2012 election. 

Southern Alameda County Group of the Sierra Club supports our efforts.

Save Kimber Park efforts get support from the Sierra Club

The Southern Alameda County group of the Sierra Club voted to show their support for "Save Kimber Park" by passing the following motion:

"The Southern Alameda County Group of the Sierra Club believes that the current Private Open Space zoning of the Kimber Park property should not be modified to accommodate residential development."

Historical Society endorses the preservation of Kimber park

"Washington Township Historical Society voted at their November 28, 2011 general meeting to support and endorse the preservation of the Kimber Park recreational and open space uses of the 1 2.6 acre site and oppose its conversion to any residential use."

Richard King endorses Save Kimber Park efforts

Richard King, former World President of Rotary International, a Bay Area attorney and former Fremont Planning Commissioner officially endorses the Save Kimber Park effort and supports the Mission Statement that "We are a community committed to forever preserving a private, park-like natural and open area including a recreational facility in the Kimber Park Neighborhood."

Mr. King is both a Mission Hills Tennis and Swim Club member and an original owner within the Kimber Park neighborhood.  He has been honored many times by Heads of State for his leadership and humanitarian projects.

Tri‐City Ecology Center supports and endorses Save Kimber Park

"Tri‐City Ecology Center supports and endorses the efforts of the Save Kimber Park organization to preserve the existing recreational and open space uses of the 12.6 acre site and prevent its conversion to any residential use."
