Join us 10/13 at the public hearing regarding the General Plan Update

posted Oct 6, 2011, 5:25 PM by Edward Wustenhoff   [ updated Oct 12, 2011, 2:48 PM ]

We received a notice of a public hearing regarding the General Plan Update.  The hearing will be held on Thursday, October 13th at 7pm at The Council Chambers at 3300 Capitol Avenue, Fremont.

We are asking all Save Kimber Park supporters to attend. Wear something GREEN or even better wear your “Save Kimber Park” T-shirt if you have one.  If you need one and don’t have one yet contact Sunil Dhar at sunil.dhar@gmail.com to see if he has your size left.

We believe it is important for the Save Kimber Park group to show a strong presence at this meeting in support of the 2030 Draft General Plan.

The 2030 Draft General Plan changes the existing General Plan and designates the horseshoe shaped lot in Kimber Park as private open space so that the General Plan now better aligns with the already existing Land Use designation.

This public hearing is not regarding any specific proposed development on the Mission Hills Tennis and Swim Club property…but we do believe it is important for us to be there and to make our presence publicly known again and our position well established regarding the new General Plan.

Shown below is information regarding the Public Hearing that we received via email.  It has all the important date, time and location information.   If you want to look in greater detail and the Draft General Plan all of the information is available at:  http://www.fremont.gov/index.aspx?nid=1188
